Feathers are thrown, Season has gone Come back to me Solitude waits Shadows are shapes Come back to me And the night becomes a day And the love ain’t gonna stay For more than day… Oceans of tears Feeding the fears Come back to me Are you the brave Feeling that crave Come back to me And the night will fade away And the love is going to stay For more than day… Oceans of tears… Feeding the fears…

Dark Days 03:19
Your heart is breaking Your planet is dying now Your mind’s awaken Your loved ones – turning cold Don’t stay away, hey Is Human Race Losing its face God has no taste About to erase You’re breathing fire The city’s burning down Those crooked liars Their faces turning black Don’t stay away, hey Is Human Race Losing its face God has no taste About to erase

about

The title of this release is inspired by “The Hunger Games”, where Dark Days is the period of the collapse of the first rebellion in Panem, years back in the timeline of the book. The story develops in the famous district 13, built as a refuge for the government leaders in time of war or a last resort for humanity, if life above becomes unliveable.
That’s what lead to the song with the same name, portraying a post-apocalyptic image of a planet, whose inhabitants have lost their human traits, turning it into a Black Battlefield that’s about to be demolished.
The choice of the cover songs is not accidental as well.
“Moya”, a song by The Cult’s post-punk incarnation Southern Death Cult, starts with the lyrics “The kids of the Coca-Cola nation / Are too doped up to realise / That time is running out / Nagasaki’s crying out”.
The Nine Inch Nails’ “Lights In The Sky” depicts a desire to abandon this world and reconnect with loved ones somewhere outside of it.
As an arrangements, the whole EP is piano-based, placing the instrument in the centre of every song. The beats are mostly handled by drum machine loops, and one can hear distortion guitars in “Moya” and “Dark Days”.
“Lights In The Sky” and “Fears” are the more sensitive side of the record, mid-tempo driven and building up into parts with stretched vocals to only end up in silence again.
Overall, “Dark Days” is an experience in Anna Bo’s unique fantasy world, where waves of the Apocalypse may wipe the humanity, still giving it a hope and chance to survive.
